Can you believe it's already time for the holidays? Neither can we! While we're all running around getting ready for the festivities, this holiday gifting tip removes at least some of the stress from your plate: grab a gift that works for almost anyone on your list and gives back to charity in the process — this year's Holiday Gift Set. Benefitting a cause that's close to our hearts — the Rise Above Foundation — each set will include a 12 oz hand poured Balsam Fir scented soy candle (smells like a fir tree forest!) and a sustainable pine tree ornament (which contains actual pine tree seeds and can be planted!) Each set costs $28, and 100% of proceeds from these sets will go to the Rise Above Foundation.
We're partnered up with Pelletier Properties - Keller Williams North Central and LoriK Creations to create the sets. All proceeds will go to Rise Above, which is dedicated to providing Massachusetts children in foster care with enriching activities, opportunities and experiences. Founded in 2009, Rise Above is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that responds to the growing need to give youth in foster care opportunities that will give them a sense of normalcy, provide comfort, and build self-esteem. By funding individual wishes for requests like prom expenses, soccer registration, and clarinet lessons, Rise Above provides positive experiences for children in foster care. Since its inception, Rise Above has served more than 7,500 youth in foster care in Massachusetts, including 1,400 in the last year alone.
